I've been being totally inconvenienced by the work crew that is currently fixing the apartment complex we live in up, since it's just gotten a new owner who is serious about turning this dump into something nice. They parked in such a way where I had to wait for them to move their van before I could get out when it was super urgent to make a time schedule, and they just take their sweet time. Idiots! Then when I come back 20 minutes later, they're right back to blocking my re-entry. Why can't they unload their equipment where they're working, and park outside instead of inconveniencing everybody not to mention having to move their van every time they're blocking somebody? Duuuuuuuuuuh. What I think is funny, is that by December, it's probably not gonna matter.
Man, a wet pussy just jumped into my lap. I wonder where the Hell Alex has been? It ain't rainin' to my knowledge. Ah, he was probably playin' in the grass. He is HUGE. Size of a small bobcat. I'm glad he's sweet tempered. He's one of the nicest cats you can meet, though of course you have to earn his trust before he'll have you.

Wonderin' if I should throw in capers into this weeks salad? Ayuh, sure. Serve on top of butter lettuce (the only kind I buy anymore), and top with avocado slices. Oh yeah. In the salad mixture, tons of garlic powder, some black pepper, and seasoning WithOut Papers. That would be Italian. Or better yet, Trader Joe's 21 season salute instead of the seasoning WithOut Papers. But either one will do. Some don't have a TJ's in the hood, so. . .
It's a bitch, but bein' kept, I really do try to earn my keep. After all, in the past I was the keeper; and my flat mate was the knave, and that one then used to cook when we didn't eat out, and it did more housework, so hey. We have no issues with doing this or that or roles. Whoever is more convenient to do this or that does this or that.

I take care of a small herd of cats, and feed a couple of ferals. I can see this. Some love each other to no end, some can't stand each other, yet they still don't get into all out fights, and two of them took the death of one real hard, and even started acting more like him. Also, if you ever heard a cat mourn; it is one of the most heart rending sounds on the planet. And they do have a language. I hear the same sounds from them in various situations. I know when they ask me for food, when they want out (some are very demanding), of the two that can't stand each other, one often insults the other in the same hostile toned meow, and there's so much more. There is one, I can talk to her in English until I turn blue without anything happening, but if I make cat noises at her and send her the appropriate thoughts, she will react to what I want fast. Cats are very telepathic. They react to your real intentions after you develop a bond with them. Hence I can't cut a fur ball out of the semi-wild long hair who is my friend. She only lets me pet her if I'm not thinking of cutting the mats out of her hair. It's kind of funny, though frustrating.
Some do it better than others, but being an 'animal whisperer' can be done by anyone. You just have to spend time with the animal, and basically learn the language. I do real well with cats and the rather feline natured 'coons, though the raccoons are wild, and there are currently none that come around. Management disapproves of me feeding them since they seem to terrify the other tenants, but if one does come around on the balcony, I'm not going to chase it off. I wonder what happened to the one that did come up for a few weeks. I hope no one killed her. She'd come in the kitchen, eat cat food, never mess anything up, and she'd sit on the rail and groom. Boy, but she did make cleaning the litter box a chore. Still, I miss her. We called her 'Kelly'. No, I never petted her. She was wild, and I would have been asking for it, not in a good way. I've written a little of this before, but hey.
If I'm given the time and resources, I can befriend anything. Note I didn't say 'tame' anything. There is a difference. By the way, I would not call the cats I take care of 'tame'. If they don't know you, they will not want anything to do with you. One will accept you if you come into the flat, but the other will avoid you; and the one that will accept you inside the flat will not want anything to do with you if you haven't come in yet. He trusts our judgement. I trust his more.

I posted this, 'cause I thought it was hilarious. Imagine working on the top floor. Quite a commute, wouldn't you say? I have run up the stairs of a 13 storey building when I was in my prime. No problem. I used to be one fast mutha fucka, and the elevator took so long to come down, I actually beat the damn thing. I had a race with the thing I used to be married to, and the second he pushed the button, I took off. It helped that it had to stop for passengers on the way of whatever way it was going. Ahhhhh, the good ol' days. But 47 stories? I think that was a bit much even for my formerly athletic self.
If this thing come up in Dutch, I had a translate option, though I hit the copy/paste after I had it in English. If your system doesn't provide it, Babelfish it.
Neat lookin' builing, though. I might not be so fast today, I'd probably be as sore as Hell after climbing it, but just for the view? I'd still hit it!

How many would even take you on permanently, since you'd have to be more or less unofficially 'adopted' and I'm under the impression that's not usually in the cards, but this is a start, and you can take it from there. It's like, make plans now, get in touch now, or forget about it. After all falls apart, it's too late. Get ready to live like how they used to, before the world was destroyed. Get ready to learn some REAL skills, even if you have to go from site to site until you and others can get together and build your own little organic farming commune that can be a permanent place to settle down.
