Like the article says, not all of them are. Most just want to go on living as they are, and not get involved.
As for those that are, it is media and parental programming. If they were raised in a better environment, the hatred wouldn't be there. They are taught to hate.
Then there's me. I hate the collective human race, though I make exceptions for the individual. I am also fascinated by some cultures, have welcomed members of those cultures to tell me all they knew about their history, and would do so again.
