There are some total lunatics who use questionable phrases of the Quran to oppress and do nasty things, along with tons of others. Talmudic or Sabbatean Jews, we all know about all the suits against the Temple of the Raspy Tongue (Cat Licks), we have our filthy rich Holy Rollers on teevee who rip off the willing public like crazy, and who knows what else. I'm under the impression most Muslims are just living like most of the rest of us. We have a very sweet pair next to us AND WE COOK FOR EACH OTHER. She's a Yemeni upper class LADY, and he's u.s. born. She doesn't wear a veil, she makes more money in the household, they treat each other very well and value each other to the hilt. They are also a beautiful couple, and they have no crotch droppings. She lived in lots of countries, they're both super intelligent and on the same political page as us.
Ideally, you judge people by what they are in are they nice, or are they destructive arseholes. You do NOT judge someone by their genetic attributes or religion.
