Ya know, I don't see it as one day we're all gonna wake up, and that's December 21, 2012. I think a ton of us are going to get killed, I will be one of them, and what's left is going to build a kinder world with no monetary economy, and maybe a little more vegetarian oriented. Not totally, but perhaps the animal exploitation won't be so bad, and if they raise something for food; it will be treated better? Me thinks there will be a transition, but as implied; it ain't gonna happen overnight. It's already started, and will be ongoing until the fat lady sings.
Hopefully the new way will be a bit more like the Cathar rede.
