One of our places got burnt up almost a decade ago, and it was NOT a pleasant experience. I ran out in two different types of boot, since I was getting ready to take a shower. Almost lost my favourite cat, too. He didn't run out, but took refuge in one of the closets. Glad he survived that, but he didn't get a good end. Rhinotracheitis. A long, lingering death. Dreamt of him last night. He was NOT a happy camper in the dream. He was PISSED.
