When my IRA went from savings to stocks, I got out before it started. At least I got something out of it. Enough to cover me for a couple of years even after penalties. It's gone now, but hey! At least da gubment didn't steal all of it. The interest ended up paying for those penalties and taxes. I might as well have put the money under the mattress, but hey!
I suppose I got a lot of that back in other ways.
