No. Imagine having to look into your victim's dead face, or the relative holding the dead body, or the crotch dropping with a bodily limb or two blown off, but still alive. (Man, all that ruined protein!)
I'm a misanthropic isolationist, but I think I'll actually pass. When the system falls apart, these guys will be right up there with tsa, the banksters (which are already being slowly erased, if you read the news), the politicians, the cops, and the soldiers.
