You know, I actually did need it a couple of times in my life. I was a lettershop inserter, and I keyed in the wrong postage amount, and I had to find the formula for finding out how many I posted wrong. It took a couple of hours and a metaphysical event, but I got it. Thank the gods it was a slow night.
Most people don't need it, but if you're planning on working with numbers; it's a good idea. I wasn't very good at it, though. Then again, I had a boring teacher and didn't pay attention. I was too busy writing a short story in class, and my teacher didn't even notice. I sure don't need it now, though.
