Where would Africa be today if Europe had never arrived?! I'm sure they'd still be having their tribal skirmishes, but not the mass killings of today, or the poverty; and the animal extinctions happened AFTER the exploitive Europeans arrived. It wasn't the Africans who wiped the quagga from the face of the Earth, though there is a group of people trying to bring them back.
