By the way, not all Chinese are like this. Some are horrified. There is also the fact they do not get cats fixed over there, and they do breed fast. What to do? They are a very pragmatic culture.
I do NOT believe in torturing animals before slaughter; however. I think things should be killed as fast as possible. Jhatka is the best way. The Sikh way. Slice the victim's head of in one swoop. I do not condemn the eating of cats, though I don't do it myself. I think all animals have equal value, and they are equal to people. I don't eat mammals. Not on purpose, anyway. I have had accidents where I didn't order something right because of a language problem, but that is very rare, or if the cook got a little something in my meal that wasn't supposed to be there. I still eat chicken and a wee bit of seafood, though the seafood might amount to a pound a year, if that. Well, barring clams.
Would I eat a person? If it were legal, and the person was properly detoxed like they do with snails, and cooked right, I have no innate aversion. And I do belong to The Church of Euthanasia. One of their mottoes is 'Eat People, Not Animals'.
Works for me. Then I'd give up chicken.
To be perfectly honest, we have three disruptive crotch droppings in our complex right now who I WISH someone would put through a food processor. I have a feeling I'm not the only one, either. The apartment handyman said the twins were driving everyone crazy.
